Düden Waterfall With All The Glories
Düden Waterfall goes out from the surface from the place called Düdenbaşı that takes its source from Kepez Hydroelectric Power Plant. The waterfall, which welcomes visitors from all over Turkey and from different countries of the world, is among the symbols of Antalya. Düden Waterfall shears off as Below Düden Waterfall and Upper Düden Waterfall during the Düden River and both waterfalls flow into the Mediterranean.
Below Düden Waterfall
Düden Waterfall, where is one of the breathtaking place in Antalya, has two bayous and one of them is Below Düden Waterfall which disembogues from almost 40 meters cliff. It is near-by Lara and it is 8 kilometers away from city center. Düden has a water fail, it is called Düdenbaşı Waterfall. Back to The Düdenbaşı Waterfall there is a cave which is felt visitors like they are in dreamland.
Upper Düden Waterfall
Upper Düden Waterfall is also known Alexander Waterfall. In B.C. 334-333, after conquered Pamphylia Alexander The Great had come to Upper Düden Waterfall and his horses had drunk water from the waterfall. Since 1972 the place, where Upper Düden Waterfall is there, has had picnic and park areas which are coordinated by State Hydraulic Works.
At the entry of the waterfall, you can take beautiful memory photos while you are riding camels. When you are in the waterfall and peerles nature, you may feel like you’re far away from muggy weather and you may feel yourself like in a secret heaven. In Düden Waterfall parking area there are Youth Park, restaurant, cafés and souvenir shops.
Cost of Entry
The waterfall is in Kepez Resort and visitors have to pay 3 turkish liras a pop for entry to resort and museum cards are not passable. The waterfall is opened at 9.00 in the morning and closed at 19.30 in the summer and 18.30 in the winter.
