Derinkuyu Underground City: The largest underground city in the Cappadocia region. Göreme open air museum: Göreme Open Air Museum is located in Goreme which is one of the most important tourist sites of Cappadocia region. It is approximately 2 km from Goreme. The museum is located at the begining of a valley that consisted in a result of the natural formation.
The museum was built by Kayseri Archbishop Aziz Basil. The museum, which continues education for 1000 years, is a complex structure where there are also living areas such as church, monastery, chapel, refectory and kitchen.
You can enter the Göreme Open Air Museum with a museum card or disposable card sold at the entrance of the museum. If you are staying in Goreme, you can reach the museum in a short time on foot. If you come with your own car from more distant places like Urgup, Uchisar, there is a large parking lot.
